DraftCrane is a browser-based writing environment that helps nonfiction professionals organize, write, and export their book. This privacy policy covers the marketing site at draftcrane.com. For the application (draftcrane.app), see the application's privacy policy.
What We Collect on This Site
The draftcrane.com marketing site collects minimal, anonymous data:
- Page views and referral sources via Cloudflare Web Analytics. This is privacy-first analytics that does not use cookies, does not track individual users, and does not collect personally identifiable information.
- No cookies. This site does not set any cookies.
- No personal information. We do not collect names, emails, or any personal data on this site.
Google Drive Access (in the Application)
When you use the DraftCrane application (draftcrane.app), you may connect your Google Drive. The application:
- Requests access only to a specific folder you choose — not your entire Drive.
- Uses Google OAuth 2.0 for authentication.
- Stores your manuscript chapters as Google Docs in your Drive folder.
- Does not read, modify, or access any files outside the folder you select.
- Does not share your Drive content with third parties.
You can revoke DraftCrane's access to your Google Drive at any time through your Google Account permissions.
Third-Party Services
This marketing site uses:
- Cloudflare Pages for hosting (Cloudflare's privacy policy applies to infrastructure-level data)
- Cloudflare Web Analytics for anonymous page view statistics
No other third-party services, advertising networks, or tracking scripts are used on this site.
Data Retention
Cloudflare Web Analytics retains anonymous, aggregated data. No personal data is collected or retained by this marketing site.
Children's Privacy
DraftCrane is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
