By accessing draftcrane.com, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use this site.
Description of Service
DraftCrane provides a browser-based writing environment for nonfiction authors. The marketing site (draftcrane.com) provides information about the service. The application (draftcrane.app) is where the writing environment operates and is governed by its own terms.
Your Content
DraftCrane does not own your content. Your manuscripts, chapters, notes, and all written material remain your intellectual property. Content you create using DraftCrane is stored in your own Google Drive account. If you stop using DraftCrane, your content remains in your Drive.
AI-Assisted Writing
DraftCrane offers AI-assisted rewriting features. AI suggestions require your explicit approval before being applied to your manuscript. You retain full ownership and authorship of content produced with AI assistance.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for unlawful purposes
- Attempt to disrupt or compromise the service
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation
- Use the service to generate content that infringes on others' intellectual property
Service Availability
DraftCrane is provided "as is." We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The marketing site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages and benefits from their global CDN infrastructure.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, DraftCrane and its operators shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.
Changes to Terms
We may update these terms. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States.
